Our 2021 Collection celebrates our remote community, Milingimbi. Our prints are inspired by the geographical location of our island home, which is the largest of the archipelago cluster known as the Crocodile Islands, in North-East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.
As is customary, when we release a collection, a majority of our pieces are reversible - allowing for multiple options! Both the prints represent different aspects of our community. The dark print, with small lines, imitates the markings of crocodile skin and highlighting our region being known as the Crocodile Islands.
The second print in this collection, represents the archipelago of islands that make up the Crocodile Islands. The brown colour represents the sand bars and mudflats, that also become hunting grounds during low tides. The circular symbols represent the many islands that make up our region.
